David Yang is a professor of . Yang believes that discovering, creating and acquiring new knowledge is important in quality teaching. This is particularly true in the "information age." For his own professional development, Yang teaches a new course every other year. He specializes in financial accounting and reporting, financial analysis and in international accounting, with a particular emphasis on Chinese and Asian-Pacific accounting systems.
Yang has been honored with the Dennis Ching/First Interstate Memorial Teaching Award and the College of Business Administration Teaching Excellence Award. His love of teaching is reflected by his endless energy, positive attitude and his willingness to help his students.
The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the Board of Regents as tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity and personal values that benefit students.
