As modern science catches up with the Kumulipo (and other amazing moʻolelo and moʻokūʻauhau from lāhui worldwide), and as the history of humanity and our honua becomes better understood, the incredible depth of ʻikena encoded in the Kumulipo continues to reveal itself. This presentation explores what the haku mele of the Kumulipo have to say regarding the current hot debates in the scientific community around the Younger Dryas and worldwide cataclysms. (Spoiler alert: There’s a lot more in the Kumulipo than a description of a flood.)
