Getting Past the Trigger: Learning How to Navigate Misinformation with Grace

Speaker: Meera Garud, Instructor, Â鶹´«Ã½²ÑÄå²Ô´Ç²¹ Library & Information Science. This session focuses on the connection between the spread of misinformation and social-emotional awareness. Participants will be able to identify personal triggers, understand how triggers affect critical thinking and reasoning, and use social-emotional learning strategies to practice mindfulness when faced with personal triggers. Meera Garud is an instructor with the Library & Information Science (LIS) program at Â鶹´«Ã½²ÑÄå²Ô´Ç²¹ and coordinates the school library preparation program. She earned her MLISc from Â鶹´«Ã½²ÑÄå²Ô´Ç²¹ and BA from UC Berkeley.
