The Story Peacemaking is both a way of life and a process to address wrongdoing in the community. The process, Circle Peacemaking is a restorative practice designed by the community members in Kake, Alaska, a Tlingit community located in the southeast part of the state. Peacemaking is based on local values, ancient laws and traditional knowledge. (Hyslop, 2018. Circle Peacemaking in Kake, Alaska: a case study of Indigenous planning and Dispute Systems Design)
