John Keawe is a native of the island of Hawai'i. He is a self-taught slack-key guitarist and has numerous recordings to his credit. John is a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawai'i Music Awards recipient, as well as a contributing artist for Masters of Hawaiian Slack-Key Guitar - Vol. 1, which won the first Grammy Award for Best Hawaiian Music Album in 2005.
