Song & Storytelling from 麻豆传媒Hilo

The University of Hawai'i at Hilo gives the gift of song and stories to the 麻豆传媒'Ohana, Ola ka 'Olelo, Ola ke Kanaka i ke Mele - Language Lives, A People Lives Through Music in celebration of Hawaiian language month in February. The first presentation 鈥淜e Kani a ke Au Mauli Hawai'i Hou, The Kani of the Hawaiian Renaissance,鈥 will be presented by 麻豆传媒Hilo Associate Professor Larry Kimura. Kimura鈥檚 presentation will focus on the stories and Hawaiian music with a new twist in the late 1960鈥檚 that heralded the concern for vanishing Hawaiian identity in Hawai'i nei.
