Moolelo are stories, history, legend, literature, and as part of Hawaii’s oral tradition, were always performed in the sense of being presented to a live audience. In creating works for performance, some of Hawaii’s modern writers have returned to that tradition.
This week offers an insider’s look at these new moolelo–stage plays and literature–from the perspective of the actors and writers.
