HighWaterLine: Honolulu

starting at KIPUKA by Na Mea Hawai'i at 1200 Ala Moana Blvd – Ward Village

The HighWaterLine is a community art project initiated by artist Eve Mosher that has been carried out in previous iterations in New York City, Miami and other cities.  Using a chalk liner, participants walk the future inundation zones forecast due to sea level rise. Mosher invites coastal communities to create their own HighWaterLine walks.  Christina Gerhardt, Associate Professor, UHM, has initiated the HighWaterLine: Honolulu. Together with Adele Balderston, artist and geographer, 88BlockWalks,she has co-organized talks and walks for the Kaka‘ako neighborhood.
