January 15, 3:30pm - 4:30pmWaikiki Aquarium Classroom - 2777 Kalakaua Avenue
Dr. Camryn Allen is a wildlife endocrinologist who uses molecular approaches to address demographic and habitat utilization questions critical for effective conservation management of endangered wildlife populations. Dr. Allen is currently a research scientist employed by the Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research at NOAA Fisheries' Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) in the Protected Species Division where she developed a sea turtle endocrinology laboratory to examine sex ratios at sea turtle foraging grounds. Join us at the Waikiki Aquarium as she discusses the sea turtle research that the PIFSC turtle program does within the Pacific Islands Region (i.e., Hawaiian Archipelago, Mariana Archipelago, American Samoa).
